de（遠(yuǎn)離）+sper（希望）+ate（使動后綴）→使遠(yuǎn)離希望=“絕望的”。
我們解釋一下為什么sper是希望的意思。
其實也是根據(jù)聲音變化法則，大家肯定認(rèn)識expect是期待、期望的意思，更進(jìn)一步引申為希望的意思，ex=s,pe=pe,r=t=ct，所以sper=expect=期望，希望。于是加一個表示否定的前綴de，那就是沒有希望，絕望的，不期望不期待了的。
